7. Larry Krystkowiak, Utah Utes

Larry Krystkowiak spent nine seasons in the NBA as a player. He finished his playing career averaging 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds over 420 games. He played for San Antonio, Milwaukee, Orlando, Utah, Chicago and the Los Angeles

Krystkowiak started his coaching at the University of Montana as an assistant coach in 1998. He moved to Old Dominion as an assistant before taking over the CBA’s Idaho Stampede. He led the Stampede to a 37-16 record and the CBA championship game, where they lost.

After his one-year stint in Idaho, he was hired by Montana as its head coach. Krystkowiak led the Grizzlies to a 42-20 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances in his two years with the program.

Krystkowiak spent a few years as an assistant in the NBA. On April 3, the 52-year old was named the head coach of the Utes. He has posted a 115-85 record, which includes four straight 20 win seasons, in six years at Utah. The Utes have reached the postseason in four straight years — two NIT and two NCAA.
