Michigan basketball: Top 5 games from the 2016-17 season
1. Oregon – Lost 69 – 68
It was an evenly matched game throughout where both teams exchanged leads frequently. The Wolverines had several late opportunities but could not add any points with less than two minutes to play. They were fortunate to get some misses from the Ducks to set up a few last chance possessions but could not convert.
They went a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line, and Zak Irvin and Derrick Walton Jr. nearly had double-doubles. Irvin ended with 19 points and eight rebounds while Walton Jr. had 20 points and eight assists. While it was a disappointing end to the season, the Wolverines played with a lot of heart and surprised a lot of people with their late season success.
