2017 NBA Draft: 5 best fits for Kentucky Wildcats’ Bam Adebayo
By Taylor Sturm
Bam Adebayo dominated the inside for the Kentucky Wildcats last season, but can he dominate the inside against players just as big as he is in the NBA?
The 2017 NBA Draft approaches us extremely quickly, and it is already time to look at where players might end up. Sometimes, however, where a player ends up isn’t where they would best fit, and it can hamper their growth. One player who needs to get selected by the right team in order to thrive is former Kentucky Wildcats’ forward Bam Adebayo.
The third leading scorer for Kentucky last season, Adebayo helped lead the Wildcats to an impressive 32-6 overall record and a 16-2 record in the SEC, including an SEC regular season title and SEC Tournament win. He averaged 13 points per game, eight rebounds per game, and 1.5 blocks per game for the Wildcats. He also played in all 38 games and averaged just over 30 minutes in each.
Kentucky disappointingly fell to the North Carolina Tar Heels in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, but Adebayo impressed enough to most likely be selected in the middle of the first round of 2017 NBA Draft.
A large, young player, Adebayo should draw the eye of several NBA teams where he should see immediate minutes, as well as a few where he can take his time adjusting to the league. No matter where he goes, I have a feeling this player is going to end up extremely successful.
Here are the five NBA teams that would be the best fit for Bam Adebayo.
