Indiana Basketball: 5 things to look forward to heading into the 2017-2018 season

The Indiana Hoosiers’ 2016-2017 season was one to forget. As they look forward to the 2017-2018 season, we take a look at the five things to look forward to for Indiana basketball.
The college basketball season has officially come to a close, and now it’s time to look forward to football basketball season. The Indiana Hoosiers had one of the most rollercoaster seasons in recent memory, climbing to as high as No. 3 nationally before dropping off the face of the earth.
The season came to a dud of an ending with a first round NIT loss to Georgia Tech. It was appropriate for the embarrassing season that was the Indiana Hoosiers in the 2016-2017 season.
As a result, Indiana moved on from head coach Tom Crean and hired former Dayton head coach, Archie Miller. Miller brings a style of basketball to Indiana that they haven’t seen in a long time.
Miller brings a style of basketball to Indiana that they haven’t seen in a long time, who will encourage the team to play hard on defense, take care of the ball, and play as a unit, to name a few things. These are things that Indiana used to be known for, but haven’t done a whole lot of as of late.
Aside from this, Indiana will be without OG Anunoby, who entered the NBA Draft, and potentially more players as James Blackmon Jr., Robert Johnson, and Thomas Bryant have also entered their names into the NBA Draft pool to test out the waters.
Needless to say, things will look a whole lot different next year for the Hoosiers. As a result there are many things to look forward to for this upcoming season.
