The 2017 NBA Draft is quickly approaching, but which teams would be the best fit for the Duke Blue Devils’ Jayson Tatum?

A player who was already expected to be a lottery pick heading into the 2017-18 season, Jayson Tatum solidified his place as one of the best potential NBA players in the country with a great Freshman year for the Duke Blue Devils.

Averaging 16.8 points per game, 7.3 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game, 1.1 blocks per game, and 1.3 steals per game over 33.3 minutes per game, Tatum helped lead the Blue Devils to a fantastic 28-9 season. Duke disappointingly lost to eventual Final Four team the South Carolina Gamecocks, but Tatum impressed nonetheless.

The St. Louis native will likely go in the top six or so of the 2017 NBA Draft, somewhere right after the three major point guards — Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, and De’Aaron Fox — are taken. NBADraft.net has Tatum going to the Orlando Magic, while Bleacher Report has him going to the Philadelphia 76ers.

At 6’8 and just over 200 pounds, Tatum is a player who can immediately start on multiple NBA teams. In fact, he could become a huge asset in a playoff push for a team on the brink of contention. His skillset translates extremely well to the next level, and it would not be surprising to me if a team trades up to try and snag him before another does.

However, which team is the right fit for him?

Here are the five NBA teams that are the best fits for Jayson Tatum.
