The 2017 NBA Draft is just over a month away. Which teams are the best fit for Duke Blue Devils’ shooting guard Luke Kennard?

The Duke Blue Devils finished the 2016-17 season with a disappointing loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks, but still fared well with an impressive 28-9 record that included bringing home the ACC Tournament trophy.

Duke will enter the 2017-18 season a few players lighter, but might not have a bigger loss than Luke Kennard, who will head to the 2017 NBA Draft.

Kennard, who led the Blue Devils in scoring last season, averaged 19.5 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, and 2.5 assists per game over 35.5 minutes per game. A highly talented scorer who stands at 6’6 and just over 200 pounds, Kennard looks primed for success at the next level — and he’s only 20.

While we can expect Kennard to get a ton of comparisons to other white shooters in the league like Nik Stauskas and fellow Blue Devil J.J. Redick, I liken his game and skill set a bit closer to Eric Gordon. His ability to create his own shot and shoot off the dribble will be highly coveted in the NBA and could cause a team to draft him a bit earlier than many expect.

Kennard is expected to be a mid-range first round selection, and I doubt he falls much further than No. 20 at the worst.

Here are the five NBA teams that would be the best fit for Duke’s Luke Kennard.
