2017 NBA Draft: The New York Knicks cannot risk missing out on Josh Jackson

Josh Jackson is a lock for the top-five of the NBA draft. What team needs to do everything they can to draft the former Kansas standout?
The New York Knicks can’t miss out on Josh Jackson, plain and simple.
The Knicks are obviously a team with more problems than possibly any team in the draft. When you need improvements in virtually all aspects of the game, it is hard to decide where you should start.
The Knicks are going to build this team around Kristaps Porzingis, so we can check that box. If you are going to start from essentially ground zero then you need to change the culture of your team.
That being said, the main problem with the New York Knicks starts with their lack of a winning culture which has helped contribute to their fall and mainstay at the bottom of the basketball world.
The Knicks need a winner. They need someone who is insanely competitive and who will do everything in his power to help propel this team from the depths of basketball despair.
The greats have that competitive streak inside them that sets them apart from everyone else. Michael had it, Kobe had it, and, from what everyone is saying, Josh Jackson has it.
Now, I’m not calling him Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, but those two were able to push their teammates and create a culture that demands winning and high level of play. If Jackson is even half as competitive as those two, he can help change the Knicks for the better.
Aside from his will to win, Jackson possesses incredible skills on the court and will contribute on both ends of the floor. Which is exactly what the Knicks need, a guy that can do it all, because we all know the Knicks need help in all aspects of the game.
