3. Butler ends Nova’s 20-game home winning streak

Arguably the most impressive win Butler had this season, they knocked off Villanova on the road about a month after beating them at home (more on that later). Playing in front of a hostile crowd is one thing, but doing it against the No. 2 team in the country against seniors who had never lost at home is a different story.

Kelan Martin was phenomenal off the bench, dropping home 22 points in 28 minutes while the entire roster stepped up to make plays. Avery Woodson and Kamar Baldwin combined for 28 in the backcourt and were ever-present on the defensive end of the floor.

Avery Woodson spoke about Butler and how big games are what make the program what it is.

"“I had a special vibe this morning when I woke up,” he said. “I just felt extremely blessed to be here at Butler and to wear their jersey and to have an opportunity play one of the best teams in the nation.”"

This game also exemplified why Butler is renowned as such a great basketball school.
