2. Butler comes back on Marquette after trailing by 18

Showing the ability to persevere through tough times and still coming out on top is what makes a great team. In Butler’s first matchup with Marquette on the season, they took punch after punch in the first half, where they trailed 41-25 at halftime.

Yet, they came out firing on all cylinders in the second half, igniting their home crowd, who spurred them on to a comeback that moved the Dawgs to 16-3 on the season. After a ridiculous 38-18 run in the second half, the Dawgs took the lead and held on to finish the game. Markus Howard dropped bucket after bucket for the Golden Eagles with 26, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the charging Bulldogs.

Five Butler players scored in double figures (Martin-22, Chrabascz-10, Tyler Lewis-10, Baldwin-18, Kethan Savage-17) and the team dropped an insane 63 points in the second half (!).
