The 2018 class of basketball recruits boasts a plethora of talent. However, their destinations are all but uncertain.

This is the first part of a three-article series that will examine the situations for various top-25 recruits and their predicted destinations.

WARNING: this list is speculation, so do not come firing at me if I happen to be wrong (fun fact: during the production of this article I had predicted Miles Norris to Oregon…you’ll just have to take me for my word).

The 2018 class offers an array of athletic, high-profile players who could very well cause an immediate impact for the team they choose to pledge their services to. This particular volume contains players who are known to be difference makers, whether that be leading the show or banging down low.

Jontay Porter

Power Forward; #23 overall (Rivals)

Considering: Missouri, Washington

It was first rumored that Porter would reclassify to the 2017 class to play with his brother Michael Porter Jr at Washington, who happens to be the top recruit on many sites. However, the story has changed with both of them decommitting from Washington and his older brother heading to Missouri. As of right now, Missouri and Washington are the two major teams in play for the younger Seattle native. It looks as if Jontay will stay a part of the 2018 class, but there still is time for him to change his mind. However, his father and star-studded brother being a part of the Tiger program might just give them the edge.

Prediction: Missouri
