Ronald Nored

One of the youngest possible candidates, Nored would be the ultimate familiar face for Butler fans. At just 27 years old, Nored is just a few years out of college, where he attended Butler and made two Final Fours as the team’s point guard. Nored already has some head coaching experience under his belt, even in just a short stint in the field so far.

After coaching at a local high school (Brownsburg), he became an assistant coach in the NBA D-League (Maine Red Claws). He also briefly spent time as an assistant in player development for the Boston Celtics and an assistant in college basketball for Northern Kentucky. This past season, he was back in the D-League, but as a head coach for the Long Island Nets.

Nored might not have the long-term experience that other candidates have, but he has moved quickly up the ranks and is a young coach looking to prove himself. He could be the long-term solution that Butler is looking for who can also provide a familiar face to the program.
