The 2017-18 college basketball season is quickly approaching as it is already June, but which players are still available on the transfer market?

Recruiting is the most important aspect of college basketball, especially in a time where a four or five-star recruit could transform a bad team into a top team almost overnight. No matter how talented a coach is or how knowledgeable they are about the sport, if they are unable to recruit well, they are not going to compete with the top teams in college basketball.

But there is one other way in which a school can bring in a top player who is perfect for their program – transfers.

Whether it is a grad transfer who is eligible to play for a school immediately or a regular transfer who has to sit out for a season, transfers are almost as important as recruiting for some schools, as a timely transfer can be the difference between a season of despair and the NCAA Tournament. Some elite programs have even made a habit of building a portion of their roster around talented transfers, like the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

There is still some time before the season begins, meaning that there are still some decisions to be made from the top transfer-eligible players in college basketball. Different players are choosing where they will attend every day, so I will do my best to update this list as soon as any of these players select a school.

Here are 12 players still on the market throughout the first few weeks of June:
