Malachi Flynn, Washington State Cougars

Malachi Flynn, like Bane, was not considered a top prospect coming out of Tacoma, Washington. As Bane did, he proved the “recruiting experts” wrong as he had a very successful first season at Washington State.

Flynn had a chance to showcase his ability for the Cougars (13-18), averaging 33.1 minutes a game. He scored in double figures in 12 of the first 17 games, but only tallied four double-digit scoring efforts in his last 14 contests. Flynn also had four scoreless games.

Flynn finished the season with 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists a game. He shot 39.5% from the floor and 38.7% from beyond the arc. Flynn struggled on the defensive end, however.
