Indiana Pacers

Record in 2016-17: 42-40 (T-6th in the Eastern Conference)

Draft picks: 18th overall, 47th overall, 52nd overall

Jonathan Givony Projections: Bam Adebayo (#18), Frank Mason (#47)

Lukas Harkins Projections: Harry Giles (#18), PJ Dozier (#47)

Draft Outlook: Oh, the Indiana Pacers, what are we going to do with you? There is an obvious building piece in Myles Turner, but what is to happen with Paul George? He has already said that he wants out of Indiana and he wants to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. With that being said, his trade value is likely significantly worse than it used to be, which will only hurt the Pacers future as they will not get as many assets as a player like Paul George can net on the open market. And without a lottery pick this season, the Pacers have to hope that their front office can get things done at #18 and select a high-upside player who turns out to be at least a starter.

#18 overall: PF TJ Leaf, UCLA

A fun, spread the floor prospect, TJ Leaf should fit in nicely next to Myles Turner for the future of the Indiana Pacers. As Paul George is unlikely to stay with the team, Leaf will need to be an instant rotation player and be a solid starter for years to come with the Pacers. The team is in an interesting spot because of PG13, but Leaf could be someone to help stabilize the front court. Grade: B.

#47 overall: C Ike Anigbogu, UCLA

Another UCLA pick, Anigbogu slipped late in this draft due to medical issues. If he can remain healthy and play to his potential, his abilities as a rim-runner and rim-protector will be welcomed in Indiana. Grade: B.

#52 overall: PG Edmond Sumner, Xavier

Awesome size for a point guard, if Edmond Sumner gets back to being fully healthy, he could be a major steal here. He sees the floor well, finishes around the basket, and plays tough defense. His three-point shot needs a lot of work and his health needs to improve. Grade: B+.
