The Summer League is set to get started soon, and Duke basketball with have six former players competing. Who are they and where will they be?

Duke basketball is in the midst of an off-season overhaul. Including their transfers, graduates, and early-draftees, they are losing nine players from a season ago. Six of those guys will be competing in the 2017 NBA Summer league.

While fans and scouts got a good look at the big names like Jayson Tatum and Luke Kennard throughout the season, there are a few others who weren’t as well-known, and whose NBA futures are quite as predictable. Guys like Frank Jackson, Matt Jones and Amile Jefferson all have pro potential, but have not been labeled as high-impact performers as of yet.

This makes the 2017 Summer League especially interesting to watch for Duke fans and others who know these athletes. These next few months will have a lot of impact on how they fare throughout the rest of their careers.

The NBA Summer League is scheduled for a July 1st tipoff, and will include ten days of non-stop basketball in Las Vegas, Utah and Orlando. Check out NBA.com for the Full Schedule of Games.

With the games right around the corner, let’s take a look at how the Blue Devils alumni will fit in on their new rosters.
