The Indiana Hoosiers continue to be on the right track under their new head coach, Archie Miller. They now get a massive pickup in a four-star recruit from the Class of 2018.

Archie Miller might be the best thing to happen to the Indiana Hoosiers in a long time.

Since taking over the program after moving from the Dayton Flyers, Miller has had recruiting success after recruiting success. Miller and Indiana just received a commitment from a highly-touted Class of 2018 prospect, and they are now receiving another.

Jerome Hunter, who has received interest from schools like the Michigan Wolverines, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Dayton Flyers, has committed to play his college basketball for the Hoosiers.

Hunter, a 6’7, 195-pound small forward out of Pickering, Ohio, played his high school ball at Pickering North High School. He was ranked as the No. 44 overall prospect on the ESPN 100 and as the No. 15 small forward by 247 Sports. Most recruiting sites had him listed as a four-star recruit, and, from what you can see in this highlight video, he deserves it.

This is a massive get for Miller and the Hoosiers, as they are looking to immediately turn the Indiana program into a contender in the Big Ten. While I do not believe they stand a chance in a talented, crowded conference next season, they are on the right track by picking up future commitments already.

Indiana could legitimately be contending for the Big Ten title in as little as two years.

Expect big things from Hunter in the future with the Hoosiers – and even bigger things from Indiana and Miller.
