Five-star recruit Mitchell Robinson has been suspended from the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers after leaving the university. What team should he transfer to for the 2017-18 season?

It seems like all the drama in the offseason leading up to the 2017-18 college basketball season has been focused on coaches rather than players or teams. Whether it was firings, recruiting, or hires, the coaching carousel has taken front and center stage.

At least it did until now.

Mitchell Robinson, a 7’0, 222-pound center out of Chalmette, Louisiana, had committed to Rick Stansbury and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers for the 2017-18 season, causing many to wonder why such a coveted five-star recruit would go to a Conference USA school.

Shortly afterward, it was rumored that he was unhappy with his decision, but he did show up to attend summer school, putting many of WKU fans’ worries to rest.

However, those rumors of being unsatisfied with his decision have now turned into facts, as Robinson has left the university, resulting in a suspension from the team and, in all likelihood, an end to his time with Western Kentucky.

Now, Robinson must decide what to do next with little time to make that decision as the 2017-18 college basketball season is rapidly approaching.

It was reported that he said he would be okay transferring and sitting out a year before playing again. A highly-touted recruit that will be highly-coveted by programs all over the country, Mitchell will have his pick of the top programs in college basketball.

Here are five options for Mitchell Robinson heading into the 2017-18 college basketball season.
