Georgetown

When your team goes 14-18, fires their longtime coach, and hires someone who has never had a head coaching job before, you’re probably going to regress — even if that coach is Patrick Ewing, a hero at your school.

Good news for Ewing, he inherits the Hoyas’ top three scorers from a season ago. The bad news? Georgetown was the No. 7 scoring team in the conference.

DePaul

DePaul has been a perennial bottom-dweller in the Big East. There’s no nice way of saying it. In the last two years, the Blue Demons have won five conference games. That tells you just about everything you need to know.

Eli Cain is good, though. If he averages 25 points, maybe they’ll win four conference games this year.
