NCAAW Basketball: Which schools hired new coaches for 2017-18?

UMKC Kangaroos: Jacie Hoyt picked up her first head coaching job when UMKC selected her as the team’s 10th head coach. Hoyt was an assistant at Kansas State for the last three years.

New Mexico State Aggies: NMSU named former assistant coach Brooke Atkinson the 11th head coach in program history. Since leaving NMSU in 2011, Atkinson has spent time on the staffs at South Dakota and Colorado State. The Aggies are three-time defending WAC champions.

Murray State Racers: Rechelle Turner returns to Murray State after serving as girls’  head coach at Murray high school where she compiled a 460-178 record over 21 seasons. She has the 20th most wins in Kentucky state history.

Florida Gators: Belmont head coach Cam Newbauer was hired to replace Amanda Butler, who was fired after 10 seasons. Newbauer, 38, led the Bruins to a 51-15 record over the past two years and consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. He posted a 79-50 record overall.
