ACC basketball is widely regarded as one of the most powerful conferences in college hoops. Let’s take a look at each team’s recruiting outlook from 2017.

Fresh off of North Carolina’s National Championship, the ACC is looking to once again be the top of the country. With several talented players graduating and others leaving for the NBA, incoming recruits will have some large holes to fill.

Taking a peek at each team in the ACC, there are several recruits that can make an impact.

Boston College Eagles

Two years ago, Boston College did not win a single game in the ACC.  They improved by winning a game last year but did not win many games overall. In the last several seasons, Boston College has definitely struggled. The incoming freshmen this year are hoping to change that in Chestnut Hill.

Steffon Mitchell: Mitchell attended Sunrise Christian Academy last year.  Sunrise is one of the best schools for high school basketball recruits in the Midwest.  He chose Boston College over Central Michigan and Furman.

Clemson Tigers

Brad Brownell is still working on getting his team to the NCAA tournament.  It looked like the Tigers were going to receive a bid in 2016, but Clemson faded down the stretch.  Clemson has a lot of returning talent but did lose their top player in Jaron Blossomgame.  Maybe this will be the year that the Tigers finally get over the hump.

Aamir Simms: Simms is a 6’7″ power forward.  He will impact the game with his energy and ability to run the floor.  Aamir is going to make his hay inside with the ability to rebound and protect the rim.  He hasn’t shown much of an offensive game, but he will be a very good defensive player.
