North Carolina Tar Heels

The defending champs have a lot of talent returning, and Roy Williams will have the Tar Heels poised to make another run for a National Championship.  With the ACC being as deep as it is, North Carolina may still be one of the deepest teams in the country.

Jalek Felton: Felton is an elite passer.  He is also a very tall guard at 6’4”.  Felton is one of the quicker guards in the country and with his long arms and quick feet, he is really good in transition and should be able to pile up the steals.  Felton is also an elite jump shooter. He can score both inside and behind the arc. Felton will be a fun player to watch, and the NBA will probably come calling his name after the season.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Mike Brey is a staple in the NCAA Tournament. Notre Dame did have an early exit this last year but also went against a West Virginia team who is also known for grinding teams out.  The Irish are not a flashy team, but they are battle-tested and know how to win.

DJ Harvey: DJ Harvey is a very aggressive scorer.  When he gets the ball, he looks to score at all times.  He loves the pull-up jump shot, especially in the mid-range game, but if teams are not careful, he can extend out to the 3-point line.  He is also a great offensive rebounder and loves getting putbacks for easy baskets.
