Virginia Cavaliers – ACC

Under Tony Bennett, the Virginia Cavaliers have become remarkably consistent. In that, the Cavaliers have made the NCAA Tournament in four out of the last five seasons. In both 2014 and 2016, Virginia was a #1 seed in the Big Dance while they were awarded a #2 seed in 2015.

And although Virginia reached the Elite Eight in 2016, they have not made the Final Four since 1984. With one of the best defensive teams in the country year in and year out, the Cavaliers are always a dangerous team. It seems like every year Tony Bennett has a different player take a massive step forward in production.

By 2018-19, Kyle Guy will be a junior and likely one of the best players in the ACC. He will be a very tough cover in this tournament and Virginia’s slow pace of play could disrupt the offensive rhythm of the other programs in the Bahamas.

Virginia is among the best programs nationwide and they make sure their opponent takes care of every single possession. If a team commits turnovers or cannot get their shot going, Virginia is nearly impossible to beat.
