Notre Dame Fighting Irish – SR Bonzie Colson

Another potential National Player of the Year candidate, Bonzie Colson is the leader of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. A double-double machine, Colson averaged 17.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game last season. Despite being just 6’5″, Colson is a tremendous rebounder and one of the most aggressive players in the conference.

In addition to his rebounding, Colson is the heart and soul of the Notre Dame offense. While shooting 52.6% from the field, Colson ranked fourth in the conference last season in field goal percentage. While mostly an interior scorer, Colson also managed to be 26-for-60 (43.3%) from 3-point land, which is a very impressive mark.

Along with returners Rex Pflueger, Matt Ryan, Temple Gibbs, and, most importantly, Matt Farrell, Notre Dame should be very deep this season and one of the top teams in the ACC. The Fighting Irish will enter the 2017-18 season as a likely preseason top-25 team. Head coach Mike Brey has made Notre Dame into one of the top programs in the country, and they have made the NCAA Tournament in seven of the last eight seasons.
