Continuing to recruit well as the new head coach of the LSU Tigers, Will Wade has received a commitment from five-star power forward Naz Reid.

A 6’10, 230-pound power forward out of the Class of 2018, Nazreon Reid was heavily recruited by teams across the country. 247 Sports has Reid rated as a four-star recruit out of the Class of 2018, while Rivals has him ranked as a five-star recruit.

Reid will be a fantastic college basketball player before eventually testing out the NBA waters in a few seasons and finally determined where he would play college basketball on Tuesday night.

Per Twitter, Reid has announced his commitment to Will Wade and the LSU Tigers.

Wade, who was the head coach with the Chattanooga Mocs before the VCU Rams, has been nothing but successful during his time at the helm of collegiate programs. His move to the Tigers was a bit surprising to me, but, the more he settles in, the more I’m sure that he will have success in the SEC as well.

In addition to bringing in a fantastic group from the Class of 2017, Wade has already started out recruiting the Class of 2018 strong, as LSU currently has a commitment from four-star guard Javonte Smart.

This season, the Tigers will likely finish in the bottom half of the SEC. However, 2017-18 is not about this season, but instead about the future of the program.

With the addition of Reid, the Tigers will likely be an NCAA Tournament team in the next few seasons – a tremendous success For Wade after several bad years under Johnny Jones.
