3. FBI Investigation

This offseason was littered with interesting developments, but very few were as huge as the FBI Investigation. In the months leading up to this season, we heard about the government getting involved in college basketball and investigating the funneling of money and other benefits from shoe companies to potential recruits. For the programs currently involved, the discussion of the investigation will surely be talked about during each and every one of their broadcasts.

Questions surrounding players such as Brian Bowen will continue throughout the year and the impact they have on the programs being questioned will be a developing story. In addition, it is possible that we hear about more investigations in the future and the results of this investigation could have lasting impacts on the NCAA Basketball landscape.

For starters, we have already seen longtime head coach Rick Pitino be pushed out at Louisville and that might just be the start of changes going down across the country. There have always been dirty programs in college sports, but are we about to see just how many and how dirty those programs happen to be?
