Arizona looks to follow up its 101-67 win over Northern Arizona with another easy win against UMBC. Will the Wildcats produce another blowout? Or can the Retrievers keep the game close?

TV Schedule: Sunday, November 12, 6:00 p.m. ET, Pac-12 Network

Arena: McKale Center, Tucson, AZ

The Arizona Wildcats started their quest for the Final Four on Friday with an easy win over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.

Led by Allonzo Trier’s 32 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, the Wildcats had no problem dismissing their in-state opponents. Their frontcourt was also a huge factor, as the duo of DeAndre Ayton and Dusan Ristic contributed a combined 39 points, 22 rebounds, and 5 blocks.

Perhaps the most interesting contributor in their win, senior guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright showed that he is willing to facilitate the offense without taking on a huge scoring role. Jackson-Cartwright was very efficient at the point, recording eight assists without turning the ball over.

The No. 3 team in the country will continue their season with another home game, this time against the UMBC Retrievers.

The Retrievers began their season with a tough 78-67 loss at the SMU Mustangs. Despite holding a lead for most of the game, the Retrievers were on the wrong side of a 17-4 run by the Mustangs.

The Retrievers’ biggest struggle was finding scoring options outside of Arkel Lamar, Jairus Lyles, and Jourdan Grant, who combined to score 59 of UMBC’s 67 points. While a team dominated by three players might be enough to make the Retrievers competitive in the America East Conference, this style of play will make them vulnerable to any team with relatively good depth.

This game will be another relatively easy contest for the Arizona Wildcats. With a good balance between their frontcourt and backcourt, Sean Miller’s squad will begin the season with two lopsided wins.

Prediction: Arizona 94, UMBC 60
