With Thanksgiving tournaments in full swing, who are the top candidates for Player of the Year after two weeks?

Less than two weeks of college basketball has been played and there are already plenty of players that appear to be separating themselves from the rest.

Last week, we released the first Player of the Year power rankings, naming the top 25 candidates after one week of play. Since then many of these players have participated one of the various holiday tournaments, showcasing their talent against tougher completion.

With some players improving their production, some returning from early absences, and some struggling, there were some changes made to this week’s rankings.

Perhaps the most disappointing news to come out this week was the announcement that Missouri freshman Michael Porter Jr. would undergo back surgery and miss the rest of the season. Porter was ranked No. 9 last week but has been dropped from the rankings, opening at least one spot for a new player to enter the Top 25.

Some players, such as USC’s Bennie Boatwright, were dropped after one of their teammates established themselves are the top player. St. Bonaventure’s Jaylen Adams was dropped from the rankings due to his extended absence is beginning to leave questions as to when he will actually return from his injury.

With each player that is dropped from the Top 25, new names have been added to represent the country’s top Player of the Year candidates.

This week’s list will show the current player’s rank, as well as their key season stats and previous ranking. Let’s take a look at who made the Busting Brackets Player of the Year Power Rankings after week 2.
