Duke vs. Indiana: College basketball game preview, TV schedule
By Taylor Sturm
Two of college basketball’s historically great teams face off on Wednesday night, as the Duke Blue Devils travel to face the Indiana Hoosiers. Who comes out on top in this Big Ten/ACC Challenge showdown?
TV Schedule: Wednesday, Nov. 29, 9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Arena: Assembly Hall, Bloomington, Indiana
The Duke Blue Devils are the No. 1 team in college basketball for good reason.
After defeating arguably the second best team in college basketball the Michigan State Spartans without Marvin Bagley for a portion of the game, they outlasted the Florida Gators despite being down huge twice to win their bracket in the PK80.
Every time someone has a poor game for Duke, another player steps up, and, with Marques Bolden finally showing some signs of life this team could get even better.
That being said (yeah, I know this is becoming my catchphrase), road games in college basketball are extremely difficult, and Duke will travel to face the Indiana Hoosiers on the road as a part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Indiana is in the midst of a major rebuild, but Archie Miller has already done a fantastic job recruiting and is getting this team to fit his style. Their opening blowout at the hands of Indiana State was a bit embarrassing but the blowout loss to Seton Hall was expected.
Their four wins have shown that this team has a bit of fight in them, even if they are inconsistent at times.
Unfortunately, there is no way that Indiana stands a chance against this Duke team. The Blue Devils look unstoppable, and, as I predicted, I do not believe this team loses to any team on their schedule until at least Feb. 8 on the road at UNC – and they might not lose even then.
Expect Indiana to put up a fight early, but Duke to win this one by double-digits between the scoring-machine that is Marvin Bagley and his teammates.
Prediction: Duke 88, Indiana 68
