Big Ten basketball had a very successful week last week. Based on these performances, where does each team stack up?

Big Ten basketball has been off to a rough start, but as a whole, they are steadily improving. This was evident over the weekend when teams came away with some pretty impressive upsets. Most notably, Indiana defeated Notre Dame and Seton Hall fell to Rutgers to name a couple.

With that being said, only two teams were in this week’s AP top-25 poll. Michigan State remained at No. 2 after continuing their win streak while Purdue rose to No. 16 in this week’s rankings after defeating Butler.

Minnesota picked up some votes for the top-25 although they have been struggling of late. Michigan also picked up a vote in this week’s rankings. Maryland might be getting their name back in the running as well soon.

Outside of Michigan State and Purdue right now, though, the conference is pretty wide open. There are numerous teams that could be in consideration for the NCAA Tournament. But, although the conference is improving, teams still have some work to do in order to prove that the Big Ten is not going to have a down year in terms of bids.

Based off of last week’s action, here is where each team ranks in this week’s power rankings.
