Christmas is only a few days away, so here is a look at five things the Duke Blue Devils need most for the 2017 holiday season.

The Duke Blue Devils head into the Christmas “break” after two of their most polarizing games of the 2017-18 college basketball season.

A massive upset at the hands of the Boston College Eagles on the road resulted in their first loss of the season as they were simply overpowered by the hot-shooting Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman.

Their disappointment was quickly reversed, as they absolutely dominated the 10-win Evansville Aces by a final score of 104-40. You read that correctly; that is a 64-point victory over a team with ten wins.

Sure, this team will still be disappointed to not remain undefeated after securing wins over teams like Michigan State, Florida, Indiana, and Texas already this season, but the loss will do nothing but motivate the Blue Devils moving forward.

With their first loss under their belt, Duke heads into ACC play after Christmas with hopes of returning to the No. 1 spot in college basketball. The conference is arguably the best in the country, but Duke still passes the eye-test as the top team in college basketball and should still be the favorite to win the ACC.

All Boston College did was wake the Blue Devils up early, something that could be bad news for the rest of the conference.

Here are five things that the Blue Devils need most for the holidays in order to get back on top in college basketball.
