In probably the most underrated game of the day, the Arkansas Razorbacks will travel to face the Auburn Tigers in a crucial SEC showdown.

TV Schedule: Saturday, Jan. 6, 6:00 p.m. ET, ESPNU

Arena: Auburn Arena, Auburn, Alabama

The Auburn Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks are similar in terms of numbers across the board, and their style of play it – pardon the bad joke – shoot first and ask questions (about the defense) later.

Arkansas just came off of a road loss to an underrated Mississippi State Bulldogs’ squad that should motivate them to play Auburn hard on the road. Auburn, on the other hand, just came off of a tough road victory over Tennessee and will feel that they deserve to be ranked with their lone loss coming to the Temple Owls on the road – a team whose record may not be indicative of their strength, as they have the toughest schedule in college basketball.

Both of these teams have just recently beaten a solid, then-ranked Volunteers’ team to separate themselves from the rest of the SEC. With the Florida Gators, Kentucky Wildcats, and Texas A&M Aggies all looking vulnerable, the winner of this game has a legitimate upper hand at winning the SEC.

The good news is that both of these teams should make the NCAA Tournament, so the loser will not be punished too much.

Neither team is very good on defense, and both teams are amazing on offense, so we should be in for an exciting game between two very good SEC teams.

Next: Where do these teams rank in current bracketology?

I’m giving this one to Auburn because it is at home, but I would not be surprised if Arkansas was able to pull this one out.
