College basketball players have been dropping like flies this season, with the injury bug hitting major programs across the country.

If it feels like the injury bug has been hitting harder than ever before this college basketball season, you’re not alone.

Injuries have wreaked havoc on a season already destined for chaos.

Just this week, the TCU Horned Frogs lost point guard Jaylen Fisher for the year, while the Creighton Blue Jays lost forward Martin Kramelj for the season.

Combined with suspensions, defections, and the lingering FBI probe into college hoops, every injury feels that much more significant.

Before getting into the list, it’s worth mentioning Texas Longhorns’ point guard Andrew Jones. An NBA Draft prospect last season, he decided to return for his sophomore season in Austin. While not technically “injured,” he was recently diagnosed with leukemia, which will keep him out for the remainder of the season.

We wish him all the best in his recovery.

With that being said, here are the five most significant injuries of the 2017-18 college basketball season (so far).
