There has been a ton of action in ACC basketball play midway through the conference season. Here’s a recap of everything that has occurred.

After the daily hype of last year’s regular season, the postseason was a bittersweet experience for the ACC basketball conference. Out of the nine teams who participated in the NCAA tournament a year ago, only one made it to the Sweet Sixteen. The good news was that that team was North Carolina, who ended up winning the national championship.

That brings us to this season, with a few compelling storylines developing. The obvious one comes from a program who had to clean house just days before the season began. There was another new coach on the scene, with amazing results just halfway through the conference season.

Other coaches have had to deal with adversity. Three coaches lost their best players, and one of them is still looking for a win. There are also other teams that have taken a step back, while one who we thought would, has instead taken a giant leap forward. And of course there’s the legendary rivals of Tobacco Road, who still have yet to see one another.

For this project, I’m going to take a look at the current standings, the top players and coaches in the ACC, and break down the Bracketology for each team. I’ll end by looking at some specific topics in the league, before asking some questions for the month of February. So without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about the ACC so far.
