The Big East is more than just Villanova’s dominance. Check out everything else that’s happened in the league so far.

Coming into the season, the biggest question was always going to be whether someone could overtake the Wildcats as the top team in the country. Not only has that not happened, but an argument can be made that no team in the country is better than them, with a backcourt that very few can compare to.

But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other quality teams, as once again Xavier continues to fly under the radar. The Musketeers are one of those teams that isn’t in the upper echelon of teams in the country, but is equipped for yet another deep run in March. Seton Hall is the same, but still have some fine tuning to do.

Providence needs to get completely healthy before they can tune anything, but the Friars are a dangerous team. Creighton’s offense is as dangerous as they come, but a recent big loss could dampen those postseason hopes.

Then there’s the race for the bottom, with an injury seemingly dooming one squad to that fate. Another who many thought would be in that spot, has been better than expected.

For this recap, I’m going to take a team-by-team look at the standings, the top players and coaches in the league, and use Bracketology to see who’ll be happy when March arrives, and which teams will be heartbroken.

Here’s now the recap of the Big East Conference midway through league action.
