11. Washington State

It had been almost a month since the Cougars (10-15, 2-11 PAC-12) lost by less than 10 points. It was just over a month since they last won a game.

Then they went and stunned Colorado 73-69.

They’re out of the PAC-12 cellar for the first time in a while, leapfrogging Cal based on overall record and the face that they beat the bears handily the first time they met.

They do get another game against the Golden Bears next week, so they’ll have one last decent shot at a third win, but other than that they’ll spend the next three weeks trying to ruin NCAA Tournament resumes just like they to the Buffaloes.

This Week:

Saturday: vs. Utah (7:00pm PT)

10. Oregon State

The Beavers (13-12, 5-8 PAC-12) completed the sweep of the north, knocking off both Washington and Washington State last week, then fell at home to UCLA.

They’re all but eliminated from the regular-season title hunt, although they’ve never really been in it in the first place.

There’s still a chance for Oregon State to move up a few spots in the standings by the end of the season, but four out of their last five games are against the top half of the conference.

That means they’ve got five shots to play spoiler for those teams’ tournament resumes.

This Week:

Saturday: at USC (8:00pm PT)
