With the beginning of March Madness just several weeks away, this group of teams can still find their way into the top seed line.

Some years, the top teams in college basketball become clear by mid-February and separate themselves from the rest of the pack. This has not been one of those years.

With all of the drastic changes coming to the top of the rankings each week, it has been next to impossible for bracketologists to estimate who will end up earning the four top seeds. Even now, just over two weeks from selection Sunday, there is much debate over the best teams in college basketball.

When it comes to determining #1 seeds, it is always a balance between a team’s resume built up over the course of the season and how they are performing entering March. With so many impressive resumes out there, the only way to find out who will be at the top of each of the four quadrants of the tournament bracket will be to keep watching.

Here at Busting Brackets, we have a weekly Bracketology, with our own projected No. 1 seeds. Right now, the four teams at the top spots are Virginia, Villanova, Xavier and Kansas. But they’re all a bad loss from sliding down the seed line.

With that said, the schools with the best chance have less to do to secure a coveted #1 seed. These ten schools remain in the running to end up becoming one of the four favorites to win it all come selection Sunday.
