Summit League Bracketology

Our friend and Busting Bracket’s own Lukas Harkins projected that South Dakota State would represent the league in the NCAA Tournament. According to his most recent Bracketology piece, he has the Jackrabbits as a 13 seed facing Clemson. Joe Lunardi also has South Dakota State as a 13 seed, playing Arizona in their first game.

There seems to be a popular opinion that the Jackrabbits will be in the big dance by the end of the conference tournament. However, both them and South Dakota would be capable of beating a team in the NCAA Tournament. Obviously, it would depend on the match-up for the Coyotes, but the Jackrabbits will be one of those sexy upset picks if they score the automatic bid.

You must keep in mind that South Dakota State played in the tournament last season with virtually the same roster. It does not hurt that they have one of the best mid-major players in the country in Mike Daum either.
