How can the Mountain West get two bids?

Right now, on most brackets, Nevada is seen as a lock for the tournament, while Boise State is rests on the bubble. On the latest Busting Brackets Bracketology, the Wolf Pack are a 6-seed and the Broncos are one of the Next Teams Out.

The question remains whether the Broncos can earn a bid without winning the Mountain West Championship. While this is unlikely, it could happen if the top teams in other conferences handle their business, and the committee values Boise State’s  resume over teams like Saint Mary’s.

With that road to the NCAA Tournament looking unlikely, the Mountain West’s only certain path to a multi-bid league is for a team not named Nevada to win the Tournament. Besides Boise State, plenty of teams can provide a challenge to the Wolfpack’s title, including New Mexico, Fresno State, San Diego State and Wyoming.
