Clemson Basketball: How the Tigers can upset Kansas
Cash in on opportunities to go on scoring runs while limiting any run Kansas makes
Momentum and runs are everything in college basketball and can determine the biggest games. Since Clemson will not dominate Kansas like they did Auburn simply because Kansas is a far superior team, they are going to need to stay as consistent as possible through their peaks and valleys within this game.
Most importantly, when it comes to scoring runs, Clemson needs to cash in as much as possible and ensure that the Jayhawks don’t go on extended runs and sink the Tigers early. Kansas is vulnerable. After all, they trailed 16th seeded Penn in the opening round 21-11 almost midway through the first half. When they’re struggling to score, it can get ugly for them.
But the flip side to this is what they can do when they are hot. Devonte Graham, Lagerald Vick, and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk are some of the streakiest shooters in the country. Kansas is also dangerous in transition having guards with a lot of speed and ball handling skill.
