Michigan has been one of the hottest teams in the NCAA Tournament. Will they be able to cash their Final Four ticket, or can Florida State be the team to stop them?

TV Schedule: Saturday, March 24, 8:49 p.m. ET. TBS

Arena: Staples Center  in Los Angeles, California

The West Region finals are coming up, and it pits two very unique teams against each other. One was picked by many to be here in Michigan (31-7), after their Big Ten Tournament title run. The Wolverines are riding a 12 game winning streak, with wins over Ohio State, Michigan State, and Purdue during it.

The first weekend of this tournament wasn’t the greatest display of Michigan basketball, barely managing over 60 points in wins over Montana and Houston. In fact, if it wasn’t for a miracle shot by Jordan Poole at the buzzer, this team wouldn’t even be here at this point.

But the team got it together during the break and came out blazing hot against Texas A&M, hitting 10 three-pointers in the first half alone. The Aggies had no answer and moved aside for the Wolverines to advance.

Their opponents are Florida State (23-11), who had a tough road to get here. They had to defeat Missouri, top-seeded Xavier, and the home favored Bulldogs of Gonzaga to make it this far. It’s been an impressive showing from the Seminoles, who were .500 in ACC play. Now they’re just one win away themselves from being just one of a few nine seeds to make it to the Final Four.

Does either team have an advantage in this game? And what’s the impact of a win for both teams and coaches? Find out in my preview of this Elite Eight battle.
