Key players for Florida State

Unlike Michigan, who has clear roles for their players, the Seminoles don’t have anyone of two guys responsible for scoring. So from the bevy of players to choose from, I’ll be highlighted those who will have the biggest impact.

Terance Mann JR Guard

The 6’6 wing can be a matchup nightmare depending on the opponent, and that’s exactly what happened against Gonzaga. He was the only player who reached double figures with 18 points, but his slashing created foul trouble for the Bulldogs. It’s important for Michigan to protect Wagner in the paint, so keeping Mann out of it will be vital.

Braian Angola-Rodas JR Wing

Florida State isn’t a good shooting team overall, but the former Junior College star is the one capable of stretching the floor. He didn’t have the best offensive night against Gonzaga but did chip in with six rebounds and five assists. Him getting going could be fatal for the Wolverines, especially from deep.

Mfiondu Kabengele FR Forward, Center

Florida State has three guys that rotate in at center, each with a different skillset. For this game, the important thing is guarding Wagner. Of all the guys, Kabengele is the one that can handle it the best. The freshman plays only about 15 minutes a game and is still very raw as a basketball player. But he’s been incredibly productive in the tournament so far. Kabengele is the big to keep an eye out.
