The original talk of a 16 seed beating a one seed came in this game, with the Quakers have the talent of a 13 seed by was pushed down due to the weakness of the Ivy League. They pushed out to a double-digit lead in the first half, before a Jayhawk run got the lead back before running away with a 76-60 win.
Seton Hall
From a talent standpoint, the Pirates were really a four seed, but their own inconsistencies were the reason why they weren’t higher. But led by Angel Delgado, the seniors pushed Kansas to the brink for 40 minutes. The Jayhawks survived 83-79.
Clemson
The Tigers had their best season in a long time but wasn’t a good matchup against Kansas. They fell behind big before a late run made the score respectable. The final score was 80-76, but it really wasn’t much in doubt.
Duke
The game lived up to the hype, but not necessarily the stars. Both Graham and Grayson Allen had off shooting nights, but Newman came up huge with 32 points, capping off an incredible late-season scoring run since the Big 12 Tournament. Kansas won the game in overtime 85-81, to advance to the Final Four.
