
The Big 12 Basketball Conference had a successful season, but have a ton of work to do in the off-season. Here are some important questions regarding this league in the coming months.
The 2017-18 season for the Big 12 started out as good as a conference could possibly hope for. No team had more than one loss in the non-conference, creating an epic 18 game round robin for each team.
Once again, Kansas was the last team standing, in both the regular season as well as the conference tournament. They were one of seven teams to get an invite to the Big Dance, with three of them (Kansas, Texas Tech, and Kansas State all making it to the Elite Eight.
Fans of the Big 12 have a new common enemy in Villanova, who took out the top three teams in the league on their path to a national championship. But at least they got a representative in the Final Four this year in the Jayhawks.
Now with the season over, the attention turns into the off-season. There seems to be a huge gap between the talent that Kansas has over the other teams, but that still won’t stop other teams from trying to make a run at them.
There are some important issues for each team to deal with when it comes to potential losses, as well trying to replace some key players from over the past four years. That included, here are a few questions concerning the immediate future of the Big 12.
