Looking forward the 2018-19 season, take a look at our first breakdown of a potential field for next year’s NCAA Tournament in this edition of Bracketology.

Before getting too far into this, let me explain. I know just how early this is to release an edition of Bracketology. I understand that there is absolutely nothing set in stone in terms of rosters or even coaching staffs at this point in the year. Schedules are not set, games have not been played, the NBA Draft has not even occurred yet. Yes, I know all of this.

But…why not? Although a way-too-early projected bracket is bound to 100% off by the Selection Show next spring, it is a fun exercise. It takes time to go through each team’s roster and who they are bringing back or in for next season. Analyzing recruiting classes and what kind of impact they might have on the college basketball landscape is not easy to figure out. I know just how wrong this bracket will end up being in March of 2019 but why let the offseason kill the excitement stemming from this year’s tournament?

That is my explanation for wanting to do it in the first place. Still, I would not have gone through the process of creating this Bracketology if it wasn’t for your input. I posted a poll on Twitter earlier this week asking if you wanted to see a bracket and the resounding answer was “yes.”

Now, with all of this introduction and reasoning out of the way, let’s get into my projected field for the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
