Jevon Carter

Jevon Carter was born to be the sixth man on a playoff contender.

The consensus Second-Team All-American did it all for a West Virginia team that made three Sweet 16s in four of Carter’s four seasons in Morgantown.

Carter led the Mountaineers in points (17.3), assists (6.6), steals (3.0), and was second in rebounds (4.6). He ran the offense and led the vaunted Mountaineers press in route to winning two-straight NABC and Lefty Driesell Defensive Player of the Year awards.

The last player the NABC named the best defensive player in the country before Carter: former Virginia Cavalier and current Milwaukee Buck Malcolm Brogdon.

Brogdon’s skillset has fit in perfectly with stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo around him in Milwaukee. Carter projects similarly. Put him on the right team and in the right role, and he will thrive.

Carter did whatever was asked of him over the last four years with West Virginia, and consistently did those things well. His offensive skills will not blow anyone away at the next level, but he has proven to be able to knock down jumpers and knows how to make the extra pass.

His versatility, toughness, and willingness to do whatever will help him land a spot with an NBA team.
