Senior athletes are the backbones of college sports. Here are 10 who are leaving, but won’t be forgotten anytime soon in NCAA Basketball.

Due to the ongoing landscape of college basketball, it’s becoming rarer now to have a senior player who spent all four years with the same program. According to transfer statistics, nearly 40% of players have left their original program after two years or less for another school. Add to it the “one and dones”, and fans don’t have much time to enjoy their favorite player, let alone watch them grow over the years.

That’s why it’s important to acknowledge those who have gone the traditional route of staying with the same school for four years, all while leading their schools to some of the best seasons in program history.

So I decided to take the difficult task of picking the 10 student-athletes who had the biggest impact on college basketball over the last four years. Whether it’s from statically achievements, high levels of winning, creating highlight reels, and of course, making headlines (good and bad).

When it comes to my process of picking the players, I tried to stick with those who stayed with their respective school all four seasons (with one exception) and made the NCAA Tournament at least once. I also gave preferential treatment to those who had an impact at least three seasons, rather than those who came later on.

Each of these players made their own legacies in college basketball and will leave a void on their previous teams in many ways.
