NCAA Basketball: 3 Biggest Remaining “Sleeper” Transfers Available
2. G Khwan Fore, Richmond
Just like Dixon, Khwan Fore won’t have to miss a minute of collegiate play as a graduate transfer. As a member of the Richmond Spiders last season, Fore averaged 11 points per game.
He enters the open market with something to prove. His previous season was actually a step back from the year before, when he averaged 11.2 points per game. He also saw his rebounding, blocking, and three-point shooting numbers drop.
That doesn’t mean he can’t be an impact contributor. In fact, under the right coaching staff, he could emerge as an essential piece for a championship-caliber team.
The Athletic reports that Fore scheduled a visit to Auburn, which should’ve taken place this weekend. That has the potential to be a major pickup for Bruce Pearl’s program, who lost one guard to the draft in Jared Harper and one to Baylor in Davion Mitchell. Fore also visited Tennessee, Pearl’s old stomping grounds, in recent weeks.
Other schools purportedly on Fore’s list of potential destinations include major programs like Ohio State and UAB, as well as smaller schools such as Missouri State and East Tennessee State. Florida Gulf Coast and East Carolina are also in contention for his services.
