With some unique recruiting classes coming in, NCAA basketball has a bright future ahead. Here is a look at some classes that could be the most influential.

NCAA basketball recruiting is a tricky thing. It is nearly impossible to know which high school players are going to make the best college players over the course of one to four years. While recruiting rankings are not always accurate, they do give a solid glimpse at what the future might hold for the top programs in the nation.

With that being said, some recruiting classes mean more to specific programs than others. For instance, schools like Kentucky and Duke consistently receive commitments from the top high school players. These are excellent signings but typically only play one collegiate season. Because of this, it is hard for those recruiting classes to make lasting effects on their programs.

Recruiting classes with the potential for being highly influential can be defined in a variety of ways. They could be a highly-rated class that could move a program up to elite status in the recruiting world or a program looking for a program-defining class that can take them to the next level of consistency. They could also be classes that could determine the future of a new head coach at a storied program.

When taking a look at the 2018 recruiting classes across the country, there are 10 that jump out to me as the most likely to make major impacts for the next several years. Here is a look at those classes, ordered by recruiting ranking by class.
