NBA Draft prep has started for athletes around the world. With his college career over, Butler basketball’s Kelan Martin is one of those hopefuls for the next level.

AP Honorable Mention All-Americans are rarely classified as “underrated.” Yet, in the case of Butler basketball’s Kelan Martin, that could not be more of the truth. One of the most dominant scorers in the entire country this past season, Martin was constantly overlooked by national college basketball coverage. Yet, I can assure you that every team in the Big East has seen more than they ever wanted to of the star forward.

In four years with Butler basketball, Kelan Martin made the NCAA Tournament in every single year. In addition, he helped the Bulldogs win at least one game in each of those trips. Mostly known as a scorer, Martin constantly added to his game throughout college. An extremely coachable athlete, Martin’s adaptability is one of his best traits.

With his college career over, Martin has already transitioned his work towards preparation for the NBA Draft. In just the first month of the offseason, he had already participated in the Portsmouth Invitation and began work with noted trainer Joey Burton. There are many steps that Martin needs to take prior to the NBA Draft but he is well on his way in terms of preparation.

There are several strengths and weaknesses regarding Martin’s game and his draft stock. With that being said, let’s break down Martin’s potential future in the NBA.
