15. Tim Abromaitis – Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2008-2012)

Career stats: 13.7 ppg 4.8 rpg 1.5 apg

Circumstances caused Abromaitis to play just two full seasons with Notre Dame, but he was very effective. He averaged around 16 ppg while shooting 43% from three-point range and nearly 50% from the field. An ACL injury and a declined waiver request prematurely ended his college career, but he could’ve been the lead scorer the team needed that year.

14. Ben Hansbrough – Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2007-2011)

Career stats: 12.0 ppg 3.6 rpg 3.6 apg

He only was with Brey and Notre Dame for a couple of seasons after transferring in from Mississippi State, but he sure made a big impact. In his senior season, Hansbrough was the Big East Player of the Year, a season that also had a record number of teams from the league making it to the Big Dance. He averaged 18.4 ppg in that All-American campaign.

13. Kyle McAlarney – Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2006-2009)

Career stats: 12.3 ppg 2.2 rpg 3.4 apg

After a limited role in his freshman season followed by indiscretions cut short his sophomore campaign, McAlarney returned as a brand new man and player. He averaged 15.0 ppg his final two seasons while shooting 43% from three-point range. His ordeal highlighted Brey as not only a developer of talent but a developer of men as well.

 12. Pat Connaughton – Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2012-2015)

Career stats: 10.5 ppg 5.9 rpg 1.8 apg

Connaughton was never that 30-point scorer on any given night kind of player, but he was a winner and a consistent contributor to boot. Each season there was a lead scorer to get most of the accolades, which left the jack of all trades wing to do the dirty work, which led to team success.

11. Demetrius Jackson – Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2014-2016)

Career stats: 11.7 ppg 3.1 rpg

A huge junior season propelled Jackson to the NBA Draft, averaging a team-high 15.8 ppg and 4.7 apg, good for second in the ACC. He played just about every minute towards the ladder part of the season and dropped 26 points in the Elite Eight loss to North Carolina.
